Member of the Order of the British Empire, for services to the Māori people.

Commander of the Order of the British Empire, for services to Māori welfare and culture.

Twentieth appointee to the Order of New Zealand, New Zealand's highest civil honour.

1993

New Zealand Suffrage Centennial Medal.
